Don't know how much Cosworth was still left in that motor--before they started that last run! I was talking to them before they ran and they were going to go to a snowmobile motor in the near future---they just didn't know that it was NOW!! They had already bought a small 2-cycle (700 cc IIRC) to start the learning curve.

I was wondering if there was anything special about the block. I thought a lot of "Cosworth" motors where a fairly dime a dozen GM or Ford inline four with a magic head attached.

Early ones were Ford Kent 1600 blocks with Cosworth heads. But I think some of the 4 bangers(BDA and the like) are Cosworth blocks.

I was under the impression that was a Cosworth Vega engine. But again not sure. I thought those were aluminum and this one didn't look aluminum, though the pieces were sure lightweight.

"Cosworth Vega" is what the head said and the pice I took home to show my kid is not picked up by a strong magnet I have.
