I bought one today and your suggestions really helped. Got it here: Az-Tex Trailers in Fontana. Good guys - great deal! Ended up with a 16x8.5 with 2 3500# axles, brakes on both axles, 4 flush d-rings, spare mounted to the side... for less than 2200 OTD. HAPPY!

I use a all-steel 16 ft open trailer built by Az-Tex in Fontana (just a few miles from Cal Speedway). I'm pretty happy with it aside from the crappy bulb-type tail lights. I will be replacing them with LED tail lights. My trailer has a flip down left side fender and the longer ramps. The flip down left fender is still too high but I will be fixing it with a Sawz All
Overall, it's a decent trailer at a decent price but not quite 100% right yet.

Yea, I'll be replacing the tail lights eventually. I didn't do the fold-away fender since it still wouldn't help me. I'm going to have to drive it up on to wood regardless....
