Kid Kart

Post by Steve Ekstrand »

I am the world's worst parent....

First, I blow the first two months of chee-chee-foo-foo private school tours.

Now his birthday is two weeks away and I haven't shopped yet for a kid kart and equipment.

So, where are those places I should look for equipment and info again???

There is a Yahoo Group for FJ that could have good info.

Brian Garfield is very knowlegable, the whole family drives karts, and he is very quick to answer questions there.

Might email John Kestler locally, his kids are all into it and he'd probably know what to look for and good local sources.

LAKC is the group that runs at the CalSpeed Kart track http://www.lakc.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Steve

A few months ago Adams Kart track in Riverside had two Cadet karts for sale. Both were in the $1200 range, IIRC.

5-8 is very limited. Must be a Comer K50 I think. I don't think it technically has to be a "Kid Kart" but only the kid kart has engine mounts ready for the Comer.

I wonder if Kestler wants to sell some of his four karts? The family didn't really do any karting this summer.

I think one of the karts was a CRG-Cadet with the Comer 50. The other was a Top Kart with the 50. Something like this one:
