why would we rent the two small inside lots instead of the green lot?

Because big CalClub is either giving us the lots or giving us a screaming deal or something.

Marshall, it isn't a Championship. Cal Club is providing the lots to us to use for fund raising and to build a better working relationship between CSCC and Cal Club. It makes sense: they receive thousands of dollars each year from our SCCA memberships, so they're feeding it back to us in a win/win situation.

We'll be hosting this event to provide a relatively low-cost two day practice that should allow some good exposure to a lot of novices. We can use that to introduce them to our new Novice Challenge, which will be documented officially shortly. In summary, Novices will run in their proper run groups and for the entire year. Their six best finishes will go toward year-end points and we will have a special Rookie of the Year award. This encourages Novices to join us and stick around for the entire season.

It's also a perfect opportunity to discuss the FSAE program and mention the Motorsport event. I think it's a good marketing opportunity.

Updated again to include the California major events (2 ProSolos - Cal Club and San Fran Regions; 1 Tour - San Diego Region). If you want to find out the rest of the Tours/Pro Solo schedule please visit SCCA.com for the complete listing or see one of two threads viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1113 started in the "Events" section on our message forums.

Thank you Gio for doing a fabulous job!

Now that I've said that... SCCA took the Pros and Tour dates off of their site, so they should probably all be considered tenative on our calander.

We didn't ask, so why did you tell? What you do in private with each other is your business......

You're welcome...to all. It was a slow way as these fall under "non-champ/practice/school" events in our system, so I enter them a different way that only a few admins have privileges. That's where we put the SD region's events and our committee meetings.

Ah ahah!!! No wonder I was going crazy. I'm thinking to myself..."I followed Christine's instructions and still see no Tours/Pros". I'll put TBD next to all of them later.

I can see Tours & Pros in the western US, but do we really need the east coast ones on our calendar?
