My roomate Larry travelled to Japan without me again!
This time he flew over to shoot the Nissan Performance festival, some yearly all Nissan orgy held at Fuji Speedway.
Nissan treated everyone in attendance by bringing many of the old race cars out of storage for everyone to hear and feel.
Everything from historic and rally cars to JGTC and prototype racers were all brought out and driven in anger.
We were hoping to shoot the new faster version of the R35 Nissan was promising to reveal at this festival,
but Nissan changed her mind. :mrt:

Enjoy the photos and Larry's somewhat interesting Japan photoblog.

Nice Blog ... did you play around with those Shower Controls ?! Transportation so rocks in Japan/Tokyo. We're so far behind. In Paris you're never more then two blocks from a Metro underground station. You can criss cross the city so quickly. In Germany the airports have train stations under them. You get out of your plane and get on the train to wherever your going. Just works. On the other hand, the underground public parking lot under downtown Heidelberg was so tight, I couldn't get around some of the corners in one move with our full size Audi rental!

Cool pics. Intriguing photo of toilet. I remember seeing them in Japan back in '95 but they seemed too "high tech" for my bottom. It would be cool to have one now plus it would save a lot of paper in the long run.

:)
Dood, are you gonna eat that?

Does that first bathroom picture show a handicapped handle situated right below a urinal? Maybe the Japanese have better aim than the people at my workplace. :(

Yes, as you can see, I don't even have to look to know where it's all going.
