2008 Awards Banquet Updates>?

Post by Michael Palero »

I was looking forward to attending the Banquet at the Toyota Museum, but I know we're changing the location.

Are there any updates?

The 2007 Banquet was held at a karting facility in Fontana.
It was great banquet for me even though I didn't race in 2007 because it was fun hanging out with the CSCC folks and it was also great to experience Steve Ekstrand behind the wheel of his mic.
From what I remember, Steve did a wonderful job telling the stories of all the battles of 2007.
Steve behind the wheel of an STS Civic=Somewhat Good times.
Steve behind the wheel of a microphone= Great times!!
The beer was good too.
I remember trading the Berrys a case of oil for a roadside assistance kit.
Are we doing another raffle?

Where ever Robert finds for us, we'll have a great time.

Renee asked my to MC it again and I'll be glad too.

As always send me along any good stories and battles and I'll try my best to weave together an interesting recap of our year.

Could someone please bring a CD player to the Banquet. I have a couple of songs I would like to play in memory of Craig. Thanks everybody for being my support this year!

The karting place had some mixed reviews.
For all the people who had a blast karting. I also heard some say they felt the karting day might be best left for a Summer social or after event party. And they felt the banquet should be more a dress up and have a great dinner and celebration or the year.

I can see merit for both positions. I don't really care. I think we'll have a good time no matter what we do.
