As Steve mentioned, if the Committee/E-Board/core members don't know you...you're not getting say #5 as a newbie. The 0-199 numbers is going to be spelled out in the Supp Regs soon but the short version is, that I have sole discretion at doling them out. I'm using my judgement given that I've been with this region since I started auto-xing (early 2002 - first event - Norton AFB, met by two women named....Gayle Jardine and Renee Angel) and I know the long-timers, core veterans. If I have a question about someone, I'll consult the Jedi Council.Mako Koiwai wrote:But it might be useful for determining who should fairly be getting sub 200 points card numbers, etc.

Once Will made the changes to the points card system in the database we started fresh with new data, so I only know if you've had a points card since 2006. Maybe Will would know but at this point only SCCA knows how long you've been a "Cal Club" member, not how long you've been a Solo/points card member of CSCC.Christine Berry wrote:I'm not even very sure Gio knows how long everyone has had a points card.

I had no information about points cards. As far as I know, it was just handled manually by prior membership chairs, probably in Excel, Word, Visicalc, stone tablets, cave paintings, piles of rocks, etc.Giovanni Jaramillo wrote:Once Will made the changes to the points card system in the database we started fresh with new data, so I only if you've had a points card since 2006. It was primitive but it could handle solo bucks, discounts, x-runs.....

Due to the 1st event of the year (hosted by the E-Board), you have plenty of time (approx under 1 month) to renew your points card for 2009. Next event is held be CASOC club.

No, as none are being sent out for 2009. It's not required at registration. This will also be updated in our supp regs for 2010 to make it official.Matthew Jackson wrote:Do we still get a membership card given to us? Re: Reminder: Renew Your Points Card for 2009!!!
Reminder: Since the 1st event (E-Board host) of the year was cancelled (weather conditions: high winds, cold temps), the 1st one of the year is now held by a member club (CASOC), so time to get your points card in time to accumulate points. Rick will probably do another download of all the new points cards since the date of the last attempted event date. So renew now. Registration closes at the usual time (Fri night 10pm PST; except for the NOTLD event which is Thur).
