SCCA Membership Help???

Post by Steve Ekstrand »

The SCCA should be just totally put out of there misery. How lame can an organization be?

I'm too stupid to figure out how to move to a family membership from an existing spousal membership. Forget that, I can't even figure out how to join online.

HELP!!!

And that's the "new and improved" version from two years ago. They'd have to be a cellular provider to be worse.

Tried IE instead of Firefox and the link worked.... Went back and tried Firefox and the link worked though the formating is wrong. Hopeless.... Not that the link solves my problem atleast I can get Tadd setup.

On any page there is a "log on" box. Just click it and it'll take you to a log on page. Log on and you'll go right in to your page where you can see all you info.

I logged in. I saw my status and expirations (end of Feb). But couldn't find a renewal link. I've renewed online before.

I suspect that the renewal option doesn't become avalible until the month that your membership expires.

Oh yeah, and with the family or with First Gear, does everybody pay the outrageous $25 Papa CalClub fee? We might be "moving" to SDR if so.....

I did the SD thing a couple of years ago as a protest, but when I went to Nats with you I felt a little weird not being associated with my homies. It may cost a little extra, but at least we feel at home. :)

Yeah that is the big hold back... But a $100 a year I never get any benefit out of other than the right to list it as my home region??? I can't get warm and fuzzy with that...

If it takes me more than three minutes to figure out how to do something online, I generally skip it or find an alternative. I ended up just signing up by phone.

It's a difference of five dollars Casey.

I thought it was $15 versus $25?

SCCA claims some regions are $0. Which ones!!! Great River Region is only $10. Woohoo! South Bend Region is $5!!!

SDR has been $15.00 since I joined in 97. If it has gone up to $20 as posted above, that's news to me. That said, renewal has not yet come up for this year. I hope it hasn't since SDR has the same arrangement CalClub has with the Club side, and SDR doesn't even have a track or equipment to maintain.
