Custom Exhaust, who?

Post by Chad Stubblefield »

Looking for a good custom Exhaust shop in the Burbank, Glendale, LA area.
I need a lighter exhaust for the Exige S. Stainless steel. 10 - 12 lbs'ish would be nice, diffuser exit.
dont want to spend more than $500. and dont want to wait 6 weeks and then spend $850.
thanks

I think that would be waaay too loud.
Plus I want something that would some day be stock legal. Diffuser exit type.
Im going to try Morse Muffler in Burbank.

On a mid engine car you'ld have to work pretty hard to make an exhaust not stock legal. Like run it forwards to terminate in front of the driver :?
I'd call Blackwatch to see what exhaust dyno's the best and buy it.

So you'd rather pay $400-500 this week for something cobbled together by a muffler shop that is untested and that may actually rob you of power?

I don't get it.

Here you can see what goes into for instance creating a high performance exhaust manifold for a Miata ... they tested all of these various length pipes to get the best combination ... all that to get 5 to 6 hp.

Hey Robert,
Hows the Von Hep low exit single tip?
I really like the 11.5 lbs and the price is better for me.
Is there a wait period?
super charge tested?
thanks

You'll have to ask Fred, I never tested that one, but I'd bet it's a bit on the loud side...
