On a automatic transaxled corvette, is the torque converter on the engine or trans?

TC is on the transaxle.

hmm. i guess when you think about it you sure as hell don't want your torque tube full of transmission fluid to supply the TC.

That's probably the reaosn. On the manuals, the clutch stays with the engine.
