Online Registration Directions

Post by Steve Ekstrand »

Online Registration is open on the AXWare ORM site: https://axwaresystems.com/axorm/calenda ... =CSCC+SOLO" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Set Month to All to see all events currently active.

If you have not registered before at this site and are a current Points Card Holder, your default login is your first initial and last name (i.e., RBrown) and your password is your last name (i.e., Brown) and is case sensitive. If you have a common name, you may have a 2 added to your login (i.e., RBrown2). Once you login, you can change both. If you have a problem, PM me. All others, just create a new membership. Go to your Garage and create your car. If you want to do X-Runs in addition to your regular runs create another car with the class set to X.

If you are not a Points Card Holder, do not put a car number for your entry, a 600 series number will be issued at on site event registration.

Online payment is optional, but we sure would like it if you did. You can register for regular runs and also register for X-Runs, the initial one will be at $30 and the second (X-Runs) will automatically be $25.

If you are not taking class runs, your first set of runs would be in TO (Time Only) Class, which is full price and requires work. X-Runs (eXtra runs) are for those in addition to a first set and do not require work. We do ask, however, if we are short workers and you hear a call for volunteers that you consider being the first to volunteer.

Alright, try this on for size Steve:

Online Registration is open on the AXWare ORM site: https://axwaresystems.com/axorm/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

1. Make sure that “Month” is set to All and “Club Selection” is set to CSCC SOLO – Cal Club Region SCCA Solo to see all events currently active.

2. Log in: If you have not registered before at this site and were a points card holder in 2008, your default login is your first initial and last name (i.e., RBrown) and your password is your last name (i.e., Brown) and is case sensitive. If you have a common name, you may have a 2 added to your login (i.e., RBrown2). Once you login, you can change both. If you have a problem, PM Rick Brown. All others, just create a new membership.

3. Go to My Garage on the left hand column and create your car. Click on Insert Car. If you are running a class that is paxed (examples: PAX, SK1, HIST, CPM) select a class from the drop down menu next to “Pax” If you are not running a paxed class, leave this field blank. Continue filling out the rest of the form.

Note: If you are not a Points Card Holder, do not put a car number for your entry, a 600 series number will be issued at on site event registration.

4. If you want to do X-Runs in addition to your regular runs create another car with the Pax class field set to X.

5. Click on the Event Calendar (left hand column). To see the event flyer click on the name of the event, this is also where you can find the run/work order. Underneath the event you will see these symbols:

- Image = View registration List
- Image = Register for an event

6. Click on the Image symbol. Select a car from the My Garage section. Click on the Register Selected Cars button. You are now registered for that event. If you would like to see the registration list, click on this icon: Image

7. Online payment is optional, but we sure would like it if you did. Make sure that the Entry Fee box is set to the correct type of entry fee. Typically that will be “Primary Entry fee [$30.00]”. Use the Add Registrations to Cart button, which will fill in the Online payment section with the car that you are registered in. Click on Submit Online Payment to use Paypal to pay for your entry. (same system that is used for points card registrations)

8. You can register for regular runs and also register for X-Runs, the initial one will be at $30 and the second (X-Runs) will automatically be $25.

Note: If you are not taking class runs, your first set of runs would be in TO (Time Only) Class, which is full price and requires work. X-Runs (eXtra runs) are for those in addition to a first set and do not require work. We do ask, however, if we are short workers and you hear a call for volunteers that you consider being the first to volunteer.

Also as a reminder, for those people who have renewed their points card holder WITH a change in club and/or points card number, please also update it in the AXWare System by editing your car in your "Garage".

This actually refers to 2008 points card holders only, as that is what was imported when this system was set up. New points card holders need to create their own account.

I just made my families seven online entries....

After the painful garage editing of 4 accoutants to change numbers and class letters etc... Atleast that is done for the year....

Then made the entries through my account with the other 3 drivers linked. Nice to be able to enter all without the constant log in log out...

However. I can't get the payments right. I selected the right numbers for where I could, but it still just spit out $210 for 7 entries... FAIL.

I'm assuming it's class runs plus X-runs for the adults (3 @ $30, plus 3 @ $25 = $165), plus Robert. Is it only Robert that didn't work? I think the issue we have with either Extended Pricing or possibly "non-members" is not allowing us to select $15 for some people (it worked for me in a test). Did you try to register all at once with linked drivers, including Robert? I think for now it works if you register Robert separately under his own account selecting the Extended Pricing of $15. I appreciate your patience (at least you appear reasonably patient on the Ekstrand Scale) in getting all this worked out Steve.

No it showed up at $210. $30 for all. Despite 3 being X runs and Tadd and Robert being students for their first runs.

I was registering everybody as linked drivers. I have both Tadd and Robert to enter as students.

So after you figure it out are you going to write the "registering linked drivers" portion of the directions? }:)

Hmmm, OK. The $25 for X-runs seemed to be working. It's supposed to charge $30 for a first entry and $25 for a second, but I don't know if registering linked people messes it up. Plus not sure what happens if you do class runs plus X-runs for a student. I think it would do $15 plus $25, but not sure. We never really discussed what the X-run price should be for students/juniors. I'm going to have to create some test accounts and test this all out more. Thanks for the feedback.

There may be an issue with the 2nd run discount if not done in the proper order. I was able to get the PSCC event to work just fine by:
1. checking my regular car
2. clicking register
3. checking my x-run car
4 clicking register
5. doing the same thing for Stacey as linked
6. there was some add to registers in there too, or maybe that was this step
7. paying the proper amount.

However, I went back to the CASOC event to pay for my x-runs and it wouldn't give me the discount pricing. I'm assuming it is because the primary run had been booked some time ago and the system couldn't read this entry as a second run. this is the part that is confusing me and since I'm not sure how the coding works, I'm not sure where the fault is.

Also, I couldn't get the extended pricing to work for Kencey. The only diffenence between her long on and mine is the SCCA number. I just don't know what hers is yet. That leads me to believe there may be a link between extended pricing and membership.

Yeah, was kinda thinking the order things are done in may be an issue and that it needs to be precise. But it should recognize a previous entry into a particular event to give the X-run discount. Vitek did say the extended pricing was linked to membership. I'm not sure if ORM is actively checking that or not, but maybe so. Just trying to get more details what works and doesn't before contacting Vitek about the issue.

Robert's membership includes a validated SCCA, points card, and age entered. Not sure if that was the stuff you meant with ORM checking membership.

Yes. And will it accept the $15 Extended Pricing if you are logged in as Robert (not doing it linked)?

Um... Yeah... The X run discount behavior is broken. I can't seem to get it to work properly. Despite numerous tries.

I did pass through a state where it was wanted to charge me 25 for my comp runs and 30 for my xruns, but that didn't seem right.

Also, I can't figure out what the "Entry Fees:" pulldown is supposed to do. It seems to change the price of both comp and xruns.

Found a small issue with online registration and two driver cars. It wont let you register a two driver car with no numbers, so I had to give us both 6XX numbers. :unimpressed:

But do those two driver cars have points cards and numbers? It would not let both of us register in BS with no number. You will notice there are no classes with two people registered without a number. I see a lot of people that have given themselves 600 numbers, perhaps they had the same issue.

Turns out asking non-points-card-holders to not use a number makes no real difference since the Timing software will automatically generate numbers (starting at 600) when the online data is imported. Looks like this time at least, we'll just edit the 600 series number to whatever is at the top of the pile as a person checks in. See if that's easier than trying to pull the right number from the stack.

I tried that (and half a dozen other permutations.) I tried it again just now. 2 cars in my "garage" ( one as STS, one as STS with a PAX=X) $30 comes up for both entries.

OK, does seem to be broke now.
But playing around, I found this worked: Delete all registrations. Register the X-run car, pick X-runs in the drop down and the price should change to $25 (if it's already on $25 in the drop down, change it to something else and then change back). Register the regular car and it should show up as $30. I did this and the total was $55, including in the payment cart. If you pick a price in the drop down it will change all entries in the list so that's why you do it one at a time. I'll email the programmer to see about fixing the automatic 2nd entry at $25.
