Here's your chance, Bill

Post by Curt Luther »

You were cryin' all weekend that I wasn't playing with you enough on the message boards. Well, Ashley's in Tucson, and might actually have to do some work. So here's your chance. Gimme something to work with, well besides the obvious...

O.K., well...be honest now - when you gave Ashley an instructor run and made her tires squeal like a stuffed pig on the first right-hander, what did you really say to her?

Remember, be honest now.

Honestly? "These tires SUCK!" Yeah, I know, boring.

Now, what was my real excuse? I told you in grid

See, Bill. This is the problem. I give you an opening, and it's been a half hour with no response.

Man, if Ashley doesn't get some internet access during the day in Tucson, it's gonna be a long week...

Thank god. Bill = fail.

Now that I think of it, where the hell is Ekstrand? He wasn't at the event and hasn't posted. Anyone hear from him?

I was watching Le Mans; this year's race, not the movie.

Hey Bill, when are you gonna finish the paint or vinyl wrap on your Meeotter? I got a hood ornament for it consisting of something Paul picked up at the adult store and some Mighty Putty...

Was it a Solo person who recommended to me Chicago Bar? I saw it today and the name sounded familiar. Looks like a dive--my kinda place!

I have HD Tivo, so the US Open just got time shifted for 5 days. But I didn't miss a minute... Nor did I miss any of the Golf Channel or ESPN wrapups. I played Torrey Pines during my Junior World days and also in college against UCSD and in the annual Southwest Intercollegite tournament. Some of my fondest golf memories come from that place. So, it was special to watch an open played there.

But Stacey and I went on a spending spree. Originally, I was just getting new golf clubs for father's day. I did that. Then we got the truck Tuesday. And had to outfit it for a fifth wheel. And then shop for the fifth wheel trailer (38' Fleetwood Gearbox) which we bought Saturday and will pick up this coming Saturday. So, we had to "outfit" it. Lots of shopping. Lots of spending Stacey's money.

And we spent some time with my 90yo grandfather. Last father's day was his first without his only child (my mom). This was his first without his bride of 64 years. Been a tough holiday for him.

I wasn't feeling too hot, so we weren't up for a hero attempt at fitting in the race too so we bagged it. Focus is getting everything ready for the divisionals, Packwood, and Nationals.

Now back to Bill and Curt.....
