I figure with this economy there must be some big lot, where these all go to bake in the sun. Probably some good deals to be had.
Needs to be alum, drop tail or tilt, recent build. Would be nice to be able to open the car doors, I doubt I could crawl in the window. I can google, I'm looking for a personal referral if you know of or have done business with a trailer company.

Carson trailers in Yucaipa has done some good work for me and has a lot of different kind of trailers. Talk with Mike Lewis and see what he can do for you.

Carson doesn't make aluminum open trailers though.
I have the best steel open deck trailer Carson makes with a lot of addons. But it is heavy (like 2300lbs I think). And its a Carson so, it needs paint (I have a gallon of Aluminum Rustoleum paint to go with the trailer--Rollon works really well). But the electrical has been gone through. LED taillights. Electric jack, tool box, tirerack, 18ft dove tail with rear slide out storage ramps for easy access, full diamond plate deck, low mileage Goodyear Marathons, and an aluminum diamond plate tongue storage box recently added. I parked the car with tires on thin boards for the drivers side and it allowed the door to open with the ST Civic. This weekend measure my door and compare it with a vettes. There is room to drop the fenders a little on this style axle, that's what Brian Robertson did to his Carson to get the doors open.

I need some way to open the Vette doors, for sure.
GVWR on my 02 Sub is #7200 less trailer #2300 less Vette #3000 leaves 1900 for tools tires or excess capacity so I guess I can pull it. Just.
Probably a 16 ft is a better fit to my truck, but I am going to eventually sell the 02 Sub for an Avalanche which I may be able to spec out for a higher GVWR.
Bob, I hauled my Z06 on a Carson full deck trailer. To be able to open the doors, all I had to do was position a 12" square of 3/4 plywood under each tire. I marked where they sat and screwed a 2x2 to the leading edge of the front pads for a parking stop. But I never had to attach them and had no problems. Also I layed a couple 2-ft 2x8's behind the ramps to pop the spoiler and rubber lip up before they got to the ramps.
The Carson twin-ramp all-steel trailers are a couple hundred pounds lighter than the full deck, I believe. Featherlite aluminums were only a couple hundred pounds lighter than that and twice the cost. Of course if you can find a deal...
The only electrical problem I had was the wiring for the license plate lite. It rubbed the ground and shorted. You gotta relocate the license plate to a fender. Also the OE tires were junk. I upgraded to larger wheels and tires. It's now on 225-15 LoadRange E Maxxis.

I chose not to get dropped axles because it negates the advantage an open deck trailer has of being able to scoot under and work on the car while on the trailer.
I am now throwing this idea around.
Would like to park the trailer in the garage with car on it.
The garage can fit a trailer at or under 18'.

You'd need a 14ft trailer to get under 18Ft total length. Bob Mosso did that with his RX-7 and a kart over the hood. Pretty cool to fit the whole rig in the garage. You'd need a tiny car like the Exige. A tire rack or tool box could go over the hood of the car. Don't think it could be done with a vette, but tiny cars give more options.

I could fit two cars and one trailer in my old garage that was a 20'x20' two car garage.
It was tight, notice how the rear bumper is touching the wall, the most difficult part was backing in with the truck .

GVWR isn't the same as towing capacity. The 2002 Suburban 1500's maximum towing capacity is 8,100 pounds.
