I thought I was way ahead of the game trying to make a reservation at Paradise Cove in Malibu on Monday, only to find out that they are all booked. I decided to just make her beef wellington at my house. Oh, and I just came home from buying her gift- perfume. (Talk about last minute)

as far as an honest answer, anything "home made" is good. flowers that aren't roses are good in combination w/ a vase that doesn't suck. a sunflower is overwhelming.. something like snapdragons w/ lilies or whatever is cool.. flourists will add greens for you to make it purdier.

personalized card is awesome. buy one of those "generic" cards that don't have a specific message, and then color/personalize the picture is always fun (change the blonde girl on the picture into a CRAZY redhead, etc).

but ultimately, it's the personal touches, not the commercialized stuff, that really warms the way into a woman's heart (and like the previous posts, really means more when it's not val's day).

cater her dinner like you know how to cook
shower her with attention like that's what you're paid to do

as fake as the "holiday" is, it's nice to show her that you love her, and treasure having her by your side.. :)

I of course would share my Valentine's Day idea, but since Patty frequents this board so often, I have to refrain from sharing my plans to keep from compromising Valentine's day.

So, post your Valentine's Day ideas here!
Ask her to marry you; that's what I'm doing tomorrow with Talya.

Very good grasshoppa - a very good thing to have. Here's another...possibly the single most useful tool after a 10/13mm box-end wrench.

Took my girlfriend Morgan to 208 Rodero in Beverly Hills. It was awesome. The food was amazing. Plus it was fun driving around and seeing lambos, Ferraris, a couple M6, Bentleys, Rolls Royce's.

Good call Tad. Great way to impress Morgan.

Now that you've done it once and got it out of your system, next year try Denny's. You'll get 3x the food at 1/4 the price. Remember to bring your own candle.

I have a horrible stomach so I cannot eat at places like denny's or most fast food joints or I get really sick for a couple days.

A few square inches from Fredericks, enormous Delmonico steaks, countless martinis, and a profitable night playing craps at the casino comprised our evening. Um, not all at once.

And I made the bf a Silence of the Lambs card. It says: BE MINE OR IT GETS THE HOSE in glitter :)
