Overnite parking near El Toro?

Post by Bill Martin »

Coming down the night before Sunday's AX @ El Toro, I need a place to overnite the camper. My route is south on I-15 thru Norco and Corona and then down 91 to El Toro. I'm not aware of any truckstops, Camping Worlds or such along the route. WalMarts have prettymuch shut down overnites. Any ideas from locals?

Thanx, Bill

I've seen campers parked overnight along with cars at the actual event's pit area inside Cal Speedway. I'm pretty sure you should be able to.

Bill is asking about El Toro for this weekend's auto-x event, not Cal Speedway.

Bill, I seem to remember a travel trailer park just west of the 5 and north of Sand Canyon. It might be a koa. Then again I could be totally wrong.

Mike, you see them parked, but there is no overnight camping at CaSpdwy in our lot. The Karters do it because they pay $400 to the speedway for security then split it up amongst the overnight rvr's. They approached us about participating in that with them on events where we overlapped. Our leadership reacted like I had proposed a move to Nazism or something.

Bill-
Traveland USA has a limited number of overnight spots thats right at the 5 and Sand Cyn.

I thought one of the out of towners asked this Wal Mart a couple years back and they said no (it's a shared parking lot and upscale neighborhood).

Thanx Steve, but that's the one I used to use. Now posted keep out. I've got a place near Cajon Pass I use for the Speedway. It'll work with just a longer morning commute.
