That advice of everyone on here has changed my mind, (I hope!) for the better

I got a set of 245/45 BS 01's. They should be on for the event on the 4th :D

So that means someone else can grab these for their car;

I wanted them but they don't have any,

actually I don't know for sure. I was going to call them last night but they were closed. Ill call now.

One of the STU guys at the tour had a set of lightly used 245-40-17 specs for sale used, like $150 for the set. They were on azsolo.com, I think he is also coming to the Pro.

I called tire rack and they said they display all tires in stock. They checked anyways and don't have any 245/40/17's or and 215/50/16 (for the MR2) awww too bad :cry:

but I will have my 245/45's soon and on for the next event!

40s would be preferred, but 45s work too. You'll just have to up your pressures a bit to compensate for the taller sidewall.

Yeah, I wanted the 245/40's but anywho,

I have never, ever messed with tire pressure with my FD. I know I am terrible :roll: So I should add more pressure then recommended? Around how much?

Here's what I did. At next practice, bring your tire gauge and a piece of chalk. Start toward the high end of your pressure range (between "recommended" and "maximum"), mark the sidewalls with the chalk and drive a run. See how much chalk you rub off and remember whether the grip felt right to you. Just keep letting pressure out of the tires and repeat until you start scrubbing chalk off the sidewalls. You're trying to find the best compromise between grip (higher pressure means worse grip) and not heeling over the sidewalls too much (too low pressure will heel over badly). It sounds like a pain, but once you have it dialed in for the tires you're using, you shouldn't have to do it again. Remember that as the tires heat up, the pressure will increase, sometimes pretty dramatically. If you want help, grab me at the next practice. I'll be doing the same for my new tires.

My boyfriend will be there driving my MR2. I would appreciate a bit of help for the two of us but understand you have your own tires to worry about :)

Actually, I'm going to have to get them sorted this weekend, as I'm running in the Pro. They should be good to go. I'll be driving the big white Infiniti 4-door.
