The early-season practices are often well oversubscribed. If you don't see your name, it likely means that you didn't make "the cut."

A club is free to let in whom ever they want for their practice. How they choose (i.e. lottery, bribes, grudges) changes from club to club

There's no DIBBS. You work on Saturday by volunteering, and then a free practice on Sunday. That's a special event hosted by the Motorsports Z Club (Nissans).

There is a "cut" for the waiting list?

Kurt means that if you got "cut" you were put ON the waiting list. Now if there's a limit to the waiting list size that's up to the host club.

There are plenty more names down the waiting list not published so far.
If we get mor edrops than 5, I will start showing more of the names.

Typically we won't get that far down the wait list though based on past experiences.

Thanks Gio for esplaining the hosting club first right of refusal special rules.

No, that's the waiting list in case people drop out.

The person at the top gets the first open spot and so on.

When things change enough to warrant an update, ie. listee's have to drop out of the event before waiting listers get moved up. Typically no more then five ever drop out ... often just a day or so before the event. See my email to you

Pete, since I'm on the list and I'm doing the kid kart thing, I assume that my kids are in as well. Is that the case?

Yes ... anyone doing Kid Karting is automatically IN ... for the separate Kid Track. DOESN'T mead you can sneak onto the Kid Kourse with your cars!

I hear they're having a car event on the Adams Track. HUH! ... must be a time trail ... no way there is room for passing on that kart track. They're big bank corner must be something in a car ?!

TeamBlew,
We sent in a request/check for both Web and I. He is co-driving my car, so does that mean I'm #10 with him?

Waiting:
10. Webster Jesup

Thanks,
Michael

I drove the kid kart course on Sunday morning to check for spacing and out of place cones and such.
A safety lap... :)

I put it in first gear and kept it at exactly 15mph for the whole course... There were a few elements where even at 15 you had to move the wheel a little bit fast. So I think our kid kart course might be a tad tight for a real car at speed.
