Cool. If you have it at events I could upload results as soon as the event finishes!

Does our computer have an express slot or the old PCCCMMMIEIDDS thingy? If it is express, we could use my card.

According to Annie on Facebook, they just finished all the runs at about 6:30 pm so those are not all the results - as you can see by the incomplete portions.

It seemed some of the results were "all over the place"....large margins in some cases but not in others....varying conditions I think.

New camera fun Stuff...

300 FPS ProSolo Launch, brought out the new camera after the weather cleared up.

The morning was pretty wet fror my run group. Afternoon was dry though.

Seems like we saw all 4 seasons in one day today.

Try and analyze why this BMW seems to stutter it's power delivery ??

Yes, there was rain in the AM session and it dried out and warmed up a little for the second Saturday run groups. It got colder and the winds were gusting after around 3pm.

Condition were very different throughout the day, is an understatement.

Looking at the Wendover standings, I just realized that I never got any info about how to redeem my ChaseCam bucks. Was I supposed to stay until the end and pick up a voucher or something? Or do I just tell them that I got second on the challenge when I order? Anyone got a clue?

Wow sweet! 300 fps is awesome!

Perhaps it's the sticky Hoosier's and the driving feathering the throttle the first second or two? That would be my guess.

I don't think there was any throttle feathering during the launching, but I do think that the Hoosiers are a factor. To me it seems like the torque stroke of the inline six BMW engine may be part of the cause. This torque delivery at 300fps it looks like a pulse though the rear wheels.

Here is another video, taken by Pete L., of my 2004 WRX. I have a similar effect from my 2.0L Turbo Boxer engine off the line. With AWD my front tires spin smoothly while my rear tires load up as the weight transfers to the rear. The overall effect is similar to the BMW's launch, however I believe the BMW has a much more ridged suspension setup. I'm running 225/40/17 BFGoodridge R1 tires, not as sticky as A6's, and Megan Coilovers 6K/8K.

My launch was 100% throttle with 16-bit Launch Control set a 4.6K RPM. Building ~8-9 PSi of Boost off the line.

http://blip.tv/file/2042154

What do you think about the movement in my rear rims? Kinda crazy?
For reference this was a .545 Tree Start. ;)
Thanks for the Video Pete.

Very very cool, Pete!

But theory on the stutter is driveline windup and release. Driveshafts, axles, engine/tranny mounts twist and flex, the force exceeds traction, tires slip, torque is reduced, driveline unwinds, traction is regained, driveline winds up...later, rinse, repeat.
