Sorry, another random off-topic excursion. It's a hard habit to break.

I remember my mom being very disapointed in the 70's when the S.D. "Western" station (KCBQ???)went to "Country Western". She grew up listening to "western" in the 50's & 60's.

It's kinda like those of us in the 80's who listed to "Rock", "Heavy Metal", "mod", and "punk" have all conglomerated into "classic rock"; and "top 40", "Adult Contemporary", "R&B", and to some extent some Rock & early rap, are all now generically referred to as "80's music". None of the above types would have been played on the same station then, with the exception of top 40 which pulled some "crossover" music from all. My daughter thinks I'm full of it when I try to explain the above, as she thinks there all the same. On the good side, I hated my parent's music, she likes the 80's (all types), but can't understand that we would not have listened to Gun's and Roses immediately followed by followed by Cindy Lopper.

To her there all the same!
