Corvette Drivers, this will be a time attack series a little like auto cross but on the full size track.

We would love to have you join us.

Huh, CalClub is finally figuring out what seems to be the only growing segment of track racing, now they just need to let shops with crazy caged out modded evo's in and they have a viable growth plan. ;) Turns out time attack and drifting are the new halo sports that bring people in, not so much the club racing anymore.

Anyone else want to see Gary in an AMCI/Kumho Tires/Chevrolette Corvette? Hahaha.

I will be there... no surprise I suppose.

I might even show-up on April 25th for the AutoClub Speedway practice and embarrass myself some more!

Hey Oli - that weekend is at El Toro and Saturday will be for the Motorsports guys. We'll have Sunday open for those who have volunteered to help on Saturday. We should probably get that flyer updated to be more specific. Check out this thread: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1921&st=0&sk=t&sd=a" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Yeah, bummer for me... I just figured that out.

I thought while Kristjan was practicing on Saturday I could jump across the service road and run some laps myself. But alas the geography and chronology Gods are not smiling upon this viking today.

Want to see if anybody had any fun yesterday at the Corvette Challenge?

Just read the testimonials from some of the participants.

We had a great turn out, 27 Corvettes on a Friday, we had a very fun and very safe day. Only couple of spins and no damage that I am aware of.

We had some great trophies with a picture of your winning car on the trophy, great prizes donated by our sponsors, Adams Polishes, Sic Motorsports, Bowmanized, Tire Man, Hardbar USA, West Coast Classic Car Restorations, Caliphotography, Speed Ventures and Cal Club SCCA. NUmerous raffle prizes provided by our sponsors.

To make it even better, a couple of Auto Crossers won their Class.

Bubble Boy Tom Barrett Won C5ZO6/C6 Modified with a lap of 1:34:7 and Another Autocrosser whos name escapes me won also. See his picture.

That is Tom Barrett. You should know who he is. Unless you are talking about his buddy on the #3 position. That is Dirty Howie.

Seriously though, you have to enter to find out!!!

I don't think I get along well with Corvette drivers. But I do think we should consider trophy girls at our events.

We had two autocrossers on the podium that day. Are you going to let a bunch of road racing waxers go home with all the awards?

Why are you laughing. It is not out of the question. The #2 podium finisher in the Unlimited class last week was a friend of mine driving my car.

May 30th another friend is entered in my car, not me....
