K1 Speed Open in Torrance!

K1 Speed is finally open in Torrance! Right down the street from my office.

If anyone wants to get some laps in let me know.

Note, I'm a bit disappointed they made the surface for "drifting."

Wow... Under 7' and 300lbs... We could get Thomas Barrett in one of these karts???

I would think the drifting surface would be fun alone.... But traffic and passing???

Does anyone else find the Karts at K1 to be about 280lbs too heavy vs. the Stratos karts at Dromo1?

It's like trying to race an Elephant around an Ice Skating rink. :unimpressed:

I find everything I drive to be about 200lbs too heavy.
