Plan is to put them early.

Don't everyone else go asking now, I only have pre-plan for CSM and SK.

If someone were to let slip when they plan on running CSM, that would be cool. :) As in early would be awesome.

Broke 100 pre-registrants today (well technically yesterday). Thanks, the pre-reg is going well and is much appreciated, everyone please pre-reg as soon as possible. Since ours is the final event of the series, there a lot of planning than will be made easier knowing how many are showing up.

I'll be making some big info dumps to the chiefs and general entrants after the FSAE event passes, and we'll be calling for some volenteers then as well. Be on the look out!

I hate to ask since it looks like it was answered, but you all know me, I like to beat dead horses. :)

when we register we pick a 2 digit number, and the co driver takes that number and adds a 1 in front. (just like the Pro Solo) in my case I picked 80 and the co driver will be 180..... right?

meaning we are NOT to use our normal CSCC numbers (806 and 809).... right. :)

I just wanted to ask because I know there was some question as to weather or not to pick the normal CSCC numbers or try converting numbers after the race for points reasons. :computer:

Hey Casey,

The information for numbering is on the Divisional web site (just scroll down on the front page), copied here for convenience:

Car numbers will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Only one or two-digit numbers will be allowed (i.e. 0 through 99) where there is one driver in one car, in one class.
Where there are two drivers in one car, in one class, the first driver must have a number 99 or lower; the second driver will be 100 plus the first driver’s number (i.e. 30 and 130, 99 and 199).
Second drivers must inform the registrar who the first driver of the car is to ensure correct number assignment.
Drivers of the same car but in different classes may use the same car numbers

Hey Reijo!

thanks for that. I guess my confussion came from seeing the pre reg list and seeing that a few people have numbers that do not go with the rules you just posted. I saw some high numbers in there.

anywhoo. thanks for your reply!

Also don't forget 2 driver cars need to alternate drivers like at tours. The grid team makes 1 pass through the grid for first drivers, then a second pass for second drivers.

Actually, you can use what ever numbers you want. I've gotten the 'okay' from the series planners, but we're struggling to get teh supp regs caught up.

if I use 80 will it be converted to 806 when its time for the local points?

(not that I am all THAT worried about local points, it's not like I will place better then last anyways.) :barf:

El Toro is up to 108 passing San Diego's lowly 90 entrants.

THey might want to start banging to the drum considering it's 2 weeks away.

I don't think many SDR region members care since it's not counting for points. Pissy politics messing things up again...

The EL Toro event should have many more entrants than the San Diego event.

And you were at the board meeting? :)

Politics did not have a lot to do with it. What did, right or wrong, was our supplemental rules AND that trying to make a points event out of this would require clubs to allow the divisional to run cars at different parts of the day, and still have them run against each other for points purposes. Not every club thought it was a good idea. Some people thought the whole thing became too complicated. The poll taken on sdsolo did not show a lot of people indicating they would sign up to run, beyond those that already did (though I am sure some would).

Just my 2 cents, but regardless of points, there is a tendency for a certain number of local guys to stay away from national level type events. The idea is that the national types make up the difference. In other words, San Diego would draw more entrants from beyond San Diego. Both local and drivers from outside the region seem a little low.

Part of it is that it is a new series. I expect it will grow each time it is done. Another part was that somethings (IMO) were not as well laid out early on. No offense to the organizers, it is a tough job and different players have different ideas. Also, the gas prices are forcing people to pick and choose what they travel to. If you are counting on people from outside your region, then a percentage of them will be making that decision... trailer to San Diego, or Packwood, or Wendover. Or save it for Topeka.

Lastly, there is still time. Some people procrastinate.

I hope those that are staying away, take a look at the bargain that it is. It is a great bang for the buck and points or not, do not take away from the value.

Stacey and I haven't pre-reg'd for either, but we will this weekend.

These are going to be really fun events and I'm really looking forward to them both.

Where did you see 90? I have them at 119 to our 112.

Procrastinators is a big part of it. We're both ahead of SFRs pre-reg numbers when they were at this point (2 weeks out:117 and 3 weeks out:91), then they saw a ton of last minutes. I think we're actually doing good getting people to pre-reg early, but I could probably pull 50 names off the top of my head that I know will be there but are yet to register (like say most people on my Chiefs list ;) ).

Jay,

Ashley didn't see SK2L, so she went ahead and signed up for SK2. Will SK2L be offered?

Yeah should be. I'll look into it.

SK2L, SK1L, CSML should all be offered.

Ladies regional classes should be there now.

Ash, do you want me to switch you over to SK2L. Are you planning on doing SK2L in SD as well? I'd need to talk to Mark to make sure we want to open L's there as well.
