Looking through the registration list on axware I am already seeing multiple people registered for the CASOC event with either someone else's points card number or the wrong points card number.
Eric Shulman, AS. Registered with number 57 (Mike Flores' number)
David Webb, PAXGS and XGS. Registered with number 9 (Curt Luther's number)
Rad Delgado, PAXASP. Registered with number 969 (Rachel Nichol's number, your points card number is 512)
Doug Rowse, PAXDSP and XDSP. Registered with number 198 (JoAnn Lynch's number)
Fred Zust, TOXP and XXP. Registered with number 96 (Kathy Teulie's number)
Diane Deanovic, TOXPL and XXP. Registered with number 96 (Kathy Teulie's number)
Yes, I know that the axware system lets you register with whatever number you enter in there. However, If you are not a points card holder with CSCC then you need to use a 600 series number that will be assigned to you at the event. Axware does not let multiple people register without a number in a class so please enter any 600 number not already seen on the entry list and confirm with registration that that is the number you want to use or have them assign you a 600 number.
Please update your entries to reflect this otherwise you will be earning points for other people during that event since we do not always have time to weed through the list to find people using other people's points card numbers.
Thanks!

Re: Non-Points card holders registered for the July CASOC Event
I've seen this "problem", but it really shouldn't be one. While AXWare is currently set to allow duplicate numbers in different classes (won't allow duplicate numbers within a class), usually those people picking someone elses number are not marked as a "member" in the event, so shouldn't earn points. The AXWare points generator automatically ignores them. Maybe I need to send you something different to do points from that has that column in it.
The only reason we allowed duplicate numbers is so X-Runs works with your same number. A pretty simple fix would to require your X-run number to include and X, i.e. I'd have 240 F125 and 240X X as my numbers and classes. Then I can set the flag to "no duplicate numbers" and both online and at events it would not allow duplicates when registering. Not sure what, if any other issues it might generate. I know in the event system I can tell it where to start to issue new numbers (set at 600 now) and I think I can do it online, too, and set all existing numbers as reserved. Have to verify that.
BTW, you can register online without a number at all. When it's imported into the event, it automatically assigns numbers starting at 600 to people without a number.

Well teh easy fix is.. Quit putting numbers in if you don't have a local points card number.George Schilling wrote:Glad I'm not in charge of timing!Rick Brown wrote:I've seen this "problem", but it really shouldn't be one. Re: Non-Points card holders registered for the July CASOC Event
While it works pretty well and has a number of options, the problem with using AXWare is we have sooooo many exceptions in our rules (if you drive a yellow car with a number less than 45 in the third event of the year in a non stock class on 140 or higher treadwear tires, you get double points as long as you aren't higher than 4th in class*) that I end up having to modify half of it manually after each event. So thankfully Christine set it up on a spread sheet and volunteered to handle it.Marshall Grice wrote:hahaRick Brown wrote:I've seen this "problem", but it really shouldn't be one.
