Walter Cronkite - RIP

Post by Tom Tanquary »

He was the sole reason I got into the business. From age 8 I was a fan. There will never be another. Journalism is now officially dead.

My earliest memories as a child come from 1969-1970 watching Cronkite anchor the news on a 19" B&W set and having dad explain stuff. ts amazing to think that even at that point, he had been a news anchor for 20 years.

Amazing to think of somebody that iconic, that trusted, that much a part of some many lives for what about 40 years?
