Corner Balancing and Alignment

Post by Ken Lord »

Anybody have a suggestion on how to get in touch with West End or another shop that can do a corner balance. I called West End number all day today and never got an answer or an answering machine. Maybe I have a wrong number or something. I know it takes a while to get an appointment and I want to get into before the Aug 22 practice. A new lightweight battery goes in this coming week and I want time with a new laignment and my first corner balance before heading to Nationals to get my butt handed to me.

Any suggestions. I haven't called Accurate yet, last I talked to Jon he still didn't have the scales for the balance. I will go back to him though if nobody has better suggestions. Let me know here or PM so I can figure their schedule and mine

thanks

He's not always there. Could be racing or on vacation.

We talked to John Stokes on Friday at the NASA event at CA Speedway ... he was driving this lite weight ... with something like 220 hp to the ground! He's quite the enthusiast. I would hope his employee's are on top of it. Karen's Miata still carries the Stokes Tires decal ...

If you club has scales do your own corner balancing and just get a good alignment.

Johnson alignment in Torrance does a lot of the Porsche race cars and is resonable.

Thanks everybody. I guess I am just impatient. I got an appointment at West End when I called yesterday for the day and time I wanted.

I don't always have time during the week to make calls when at work and I had all of last Friday off to get things st up for my next Friday off.

I will take all of this into my memory banks for the future. Now I know multiple places to go.

Thanks again
