Yeah, that was Saturday evening. Everything was back up and running on Sunday. The car rolled several times which resulted in the cage taking repeated impacts in the same location in the area of the cockpit, resulting in major internal injuries to the driver.
They are so careful about safety at their tech inspections - a group that brought a car from Germany spent 3 days making 30+ small mods to their car before they were allowed to run it, then they had to do licensing runs at 100, 125, and 150 mph before being allowed to go to top speed... Three inspectors go over the cars... But even all the safety equipment in the world can't help you at 200 MPH...
