FS 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT

2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT
12,000 miles
excellent

Set up for F Stock, but still fantastic daily driver. Koni yellows ride better than the stock dampers, but turn the knob and be ready to win at any level of Solo. Around 20mpg in mixed use, with 26-27mpg on freeway.

All the needed stock class tweaks for autocross, including the Konis ($800), billet sway bar brackets ($95), adjustable heim jointed end links ($149), Ford manual approved "crash bolts" on front struts ($75 allows -2.1 front camber), TR Motorsport 18X8.5" rims ($1200 and 18.4#), SLP axle back/muffler delete exhaust ($369. sounds sweet, no freeway drone)...totally set up and ready to win, basically identical to Strano's car. $2700 in parts, alone.

Add in two sets of 30 run Hoosier 295/30-18 A6 tires (about $2500, new), one set currently mounted, the other bagged and on the shelf. Also, willing to share set up notes and any other information needed to get in and go.

Current "craigslist" prices for Shelby's seem to be in the $26,500-31,500 range for comparable mileage. I will sell, with all parts described, for $27,500.

If not sold over the next couple of weeks, I will pull all the parts off of the car and sell separately, so Mustang owners keep in mind, please.

Thanks,
Mike Wood

Oops...forgot to mention, the car also has a pretty cool quick release hitch on it. Four clevis pins to install/uninstall, ears are invisible when hitch is off, clears Shelby "diffuser" and took me the better part of a whole weekend to mock up, design, fab plates, weld up etc.

I've never rode in Mike's car, but I can attest to it sounding amazing!

This is a very clean car. Easy to drive. Lots of power, and very tunable suspension - almost like an ESP car in FS. }:) I know a couple of clowns that should dump their GTOs and get a competitive car.

I will even toss in a couple of extra copies of the Apr 09 SportsCar (where this car is featured) for the buyer.

Indeed, where does one go from FS? Everything else is somehow "less manly".

Thanks for the compliments on the car, guys...yeah, it is a sweet Mustang and lots of fun. Only problem is that it is just sitting in the garage, most of the time, and I am in the midst of a business transition which is going to cause it to sit even more, so I'm having a hard time justifying keeping it around.

Not sure what's next, it may be a break from autocross for awhile or just a few local events in the kids' Miata...or, I wonder how an E class would do on DOT R's?

bump

If I don't sell this car, as is, I may have to take off the autocross parts and turn it into just another Shelby garage queen...someone make me an offer

Still for sale. I'm giving it another month or so, advertising just to the Solo community. I'm in no rush, but I do want to sell the car.
