Brothers first day autocrossing.

Post by Steve Abbott »

So I take my brother out for his first time to drive my car in a autocross. He did great. After many laps my car decided to spring a surprise on him.

Hahaha, been there, done that, only it was in a Camaro and it went "Pa-Ting!" a couple corners before the horrible crunching started. Still hurts thinking about it.

How many miles on it? Was it making any noise (warning signs)?

And the weekend before Ron and Carol lost their Serpentine belt on their Z06 ... after blowing out a CAT a few weeks previous ... necessitating a class change from SS to ASP.

In case you can't read the van, it says 'JayCom Services". So guess who got to clean up the mess ;-). At least Theo's car had the courtesy to puke in the parking lot.

Sorry Jay. If I had it my way, it would have stayed together. The rear end had about 45k on it. I don't remember the brand, but it wasn't stock. It's been making noise for over a year, but never got any worse. I'm going from SM2 to ASP now. It will be all Z06 when I get it fixed. A&A Corvette has it right now. Hopefully in a couple of weeks it will done.
