We're not worthy, We're not worthy

Post by Craig Naylor »

Not only does the SCCA stand for the Secret Car Club of America (at times), but CSCC must have been altered to make that "S" represent form variation of the word secret also.

Apparently 99.9% of us were unworthy to be informed that the meeting tonight was canceled, and rescheduled.

While I understand that 99.9% of that 99.9% on any given meeting night does not attend..... I don't know when today Gio must have changed the calender on the Solo2 site..... as a whole we're all bashed over the head that we need to look here at the forum for event info, event run groups, event results, event questions etc.

Apparently our leaders lacked common courtesy of sharing this change with the common peon within the organization, leaving us to second guess and look specifically late in the day for a change that in many years has never changed.

Apparently to many of us are too stupid to guess the correct online location as our leaders willy nilly back and forth between the two.

Since I'm never one to complain with out a suggestion:

Can we get a set of rules posted somewhere for those of us apparently not in the know, of just WTF we should look on the Forum for, and WTF we should look to Solo2 for.

P.S. I wasn't the only one who didn't know. The restaurant manager told me that two others had also arrived before me (I was 15 min late), PLUS Coco's was never informed of the cancellation. Apparently our gracious hosts (for how many years) are also unworthy of being informed of our leaders change either. May I suggest someone followup with them, she wasn't aware of the intent of a meeting next week. I't wasn't my place to make such arrangements, I figured I'd let Solo management grovel if it's not.

Thanks for wasting my time and gas driving to the (non) meeting this evening.

Nomex on.

Ouch ... bummer ... but knowing that our meetings DO get pushed ... I wouldn't show up without first checking the boards. It does seem like a Phone Tree might be a good idea in the future to insure no one gets left out of the loop.

Thanks for being a CSCC supporter for the rest of us

Club Reps should have passed the info on to their members.

Okay then calendar has been updated to reflect the change in date on the main site.

Gio, Quit using the "view new posts" button and pay attention to what area of the forum you are posting in. That was on the e-board forum. An announcement to the general population should have been made.

Gio did post it on the Solo2.com calendar but that little sentence can be easily missed in the midst of the big paragraph. It should have been posted on the main forum as well.

Craig (and those others that showed up), I apologize for your inconvenience in the name of those involved in the proper communication of the date change.

Christine, I'm replying to Craig's question of WHEN did I change the site, and I'm letting him know when because that's the only way I remember when I did it as I posted on the E-Board forum which has the timestamp of when I made the change on the calendar, so stop bashing me. I absolutely do know where I'm posting. I don't post on the public forum because I've always posted on the E-Board forum about a change in committee meeting. But now that this problem has been brought to light, an adjustment will be made.
