Make hotel reservations ASAP for Nationals and Pro Solo !!!

I just got back from Lincoln Nebraska. I found out that the Husker Football team has their home games in Lincoln on September 5th and 12th. The game always sells out and all the hotels are usually booked.
If you haven't made reservations, you need to do so as soon as possible!!! People fly in from all over for these games. They are very loyal / fanatical fans. Also, the state fair will be going on.

If you or your family need something to do, the State Capital Building is very beautiful. They have tours almost every hour. There are many mosaics and paintings inside. Even the outside of the building is nice with many carvings. The building is in downtown. I doubt you will need something to do, but I thought I would throw this out. The building is near the Historic Haymarket, which has many restaurants. The Haymarket is in the vicinity of 9th and P streets in downtown. I went to a Cajun restaurant called Buzzard Billy's. I can vouch for many great restaurants/bars (ok, I don't drink, but many co-workers found ones they liked, with more than enough co-eds to chase after, I didn't want to here the stories beyond that point....) in the The Haymarket district.

Can't recall the name, but one three story restaurant with a Italian theme & multiple pool tables up on the third floor was especially enjoyable.

Just don't go there the night of the games, because it's only blocks from the stadium.
