Well, I guess I don't totally s*ck...

Looking @ the PAX for Nationals. http://sccaforums.com/forums/storage/16 ... ined.2.pdf

Given East course on Weds., even the 5th heat, wasn't very fast (slid right past the second to last gate on my 2nd run 'cause it wasn't dry yet and I'm an idiot) - 'though it didn't slow Patch down very much (SM ran w/CSP in the 5th heat), and given their are some soft PAXes out there, CSP no longer being one of them (despite what you say, Gary T.!), I guess 26th isn't too bad.

But Patch in 7th! Nice! I think Henry Botkin in 17th is a great result too!! And Fred Zust in 11th, also nice.

You watch..... ST will jump the most or amongst the most. I still fear Rick Ruth dreams of a 1.1 pax for ST based on next years mega mystery tires. ST ran in perfect conditions and benefited from massive CP grip and cleaning. Yet Bill Bounds' Herculean effort that beat all of Street Touring and covered the field by nearly 9 tenths, is only good for 35th place in pax.

I'm thinking CM is criminal.

I can also tell you that any class that ran first group first day, you can throw out their results too. I think we were about a second down that day from where we would have been had we run in a later heat. By the second day sustained g's had risen over a tenth consistently.

...so you're saying that you got 27th overall pax in a 1200 person event with wet concrete and you don't think your index is too soft? ;)

I would have preferred WAY less OPR myself for more predictable handling over my three runs.

Maybe the damp/drying conditions were better for less OPR overall??

Lack of camber maybe? we got a bit more opr than usual but it didn't seem to effect the car at all.

CS ran first heat on Tues/Weds so, 78th might be great!

Not sure why BS so far down. 3rd heat on Thurs/Fri should have been optimal.

Not to mention Ryan's last run on the west was one of those that elicited ooh's and aah's from the crowd when his time was displayed. Turns out he caught his only cone of the event on that run, but his 57.674 was almost 2 seconds faster that the second place finisher. If that time had been clean, he would have only paxed 57th. I realize would haves don't count, but I'm just sayin.
