I 3rd getting a Shelby, one of the best all-around "stock" class cars I've driven.

If you're thinking about GS, the potential top dog IMO, is likely the '05+ RSX-S.

It's a bummer too, because everything I've heard about it has been positive.

I haven't run the Genesis idea by her.

My thinking was that with the Mini Cooper S moved to DS, the field is wide open now. The person who ran one at nationals this year was the highest placing non-MCS. I've read some pretty good things about the car so far.

And that would be the same guy who is now asking for camber kits in stock class over on sccaforums.com, becuase of his 20 run tire life.

Look back as past GS results... The other sleeper is the Sentra SER Spec V. In 2006 one finished 8th, 1 sec back. But it will be a killer on tires, no camber adjustment. :unimpressed:

That's one of the things I like the most about Mike's Shelby. With 300+ HP and tons of torque and its relatively light weight, adding my three bills to the equation isn't as dramatic a change to the lb/hp equation as adding my weight to, say, a 2600 lb Mini.

GS will be owned by a properly driven 2005 Dodge SRT-4 ACR.

And that's the other thing I really like about the Shelby...2+ degrees of negative camber. Damn you guys! Now I'm starting to think living in a hotel wouldn't be so bad if the Shelby was parked in front.

you could probably pay for the hotel with the money saved from your GS tire budget. :)

hahaha

See you're taking the wrong approach. You need to tell her that she's lucky you're not going into SS, and you're "taking one for the team" by only looking at FS.

I think the Celics GTS and Subaru 2.5 RS may just make a comeback. Now where was that Impulse RS I found... forget ST, I can just go stock in GS now that the Mini is gone.

But that just may be a one year deal when HS starts beating GS next year, will they move the MinI S back to GS or also bump the HS mini up to GS and the two Mini's finally get classed where they should have for years now. ????
