Re: Slow Motion Video Clips from Sept 26 & 27th 2009
More posted last night ... only a few more left to go. http://www.vimeo.com/user487437/videos
Thanks for all of the mini contributions ... it adds up! I'm hoping that Casio will come out with a new camera with better resolution ... so I don't have to borrow Henry's or Pete's.
I wasn't going to shoot this event except that Steve G's generous $20 contribution was more then I expected ... so I felt I owed him some "change," and his wobble wheel repair "demanded" evidence. Pete kindly provided his Casio EX-F1 hybrid still/slo mo camera for the last event.

What's your Paypal address - that's just a generic Paypal link.

yah ... but it's the link that works with my email address. For some reason some folk have reported that going to the regular paypal general site doesn't always work with: makofoto at earthlink dot net

Thank You Mako.
It's amazing to see how much the car actually leans. Compared to Don's CRX it's about the same.

If it was in the air for a total of 1.8 seconds then it went 12.96 feet in the air (not counting aero effects).Mike Simanyi wrote:15 seconds hang time. Marshall - how high did that go?
distance = 0.5*a*t^2
0.5 * 32 * 0.9^2 = 12.96

It was waaaaaay higher than 13 feet. It really looked like it was launched at high speed...

Re: Slow Motion Video Clips from Sept 26 & 27th 2009
maybe 1.8 = total time in air, .9 = time to take to apex?Pete Loney wrote:I thought t= 1.8 not .9Will Kalman wrote:If it was in the air for a total of 1.8 seconds then it went 12.96 feet in the air (not counting aero effects).Mike Simanyi wrote:15 seconds hang time. Marshall - how high did that go?

Yep, that's why I qualified it with "If it was in the air for a total of 1.8 seconds" because I didn't witness it myself (or have I seen the video). I was just doin' the math.Quoc-Viet Dang wrote:maybe 1.8 = total time in air, .9 = time to take to apex?

Very good

Re: Slow Motion Video Clips from Sept 26 & 27th 2009
I saw it. It was launched, at least 30 feet, almost straight up (slight backward angle). I think whoever thought it landed after 1.8 sec was mistaken.Will Kalman wrote:Yep, that's why I qualified it with "If it was in the air for a total of 1.8 seconds" because I didn't witness it myself (or have I seen the video).
