In order to avoid long run/work groups, we are opening 20 - 24 spots for regular practice. The number of spots depends on the number of teams that form by Thursday October 21st.
Therefore, we are opening up limited practice entries at $70 and NO LUNCH provided. Regular practice entries will not be guaranteed the 12 runs that the SCNAX cup entries will have. If we have to cut some runs due to special circumstances (ie. something spilling on course), we will cut the regular practice runs in order to allow the SCNAX CUP entries all 12 runs. *EDIT* Shared entry for $10 extra.
Due to the chance that your check will not arrive in QV's mailbox by Friday, there is a special procedure to sign up for regular practice entries
1) Those already signed up for a team will not be allowed to disband the team in order to run the regular practice. NO EXCEPTIONS.
2) Send me an email (insanica@gmail.com) with your name and cell phone number to reserve your spot. No cell number = no practice entry
3) Cancellations will be honored if made via email/text/call by Thursday 11:30 PM
4) If you had a reserved spot and just don't show up without canceling by Thursday 11:30 PM, I will hunt you down to collect the $70 (unless by some act of goodness your spot gets filled on the day of the event). Don't make me use my arsenal of big weapons to collect $70 from you. }:)
5) If you have received confirmation, bring your check for $70 made out to "SoCal Solo 2" on Saturday morning.
6) You will be notified via text or email to confirm your practice entry
Hurry, space is limited!

Hi Lily,
How do you plan to enforce this? I'm not sure everyone will be cool with the thought of people doing regular practice during the SCNAXC cup. You may deny them practice but I fear that teams will be disbanded regardless. Just my 2cents. ;)

Very true - Lily, please explain your thought process on this. As far as I know, There is absolutely no good reason for not allowing shared entries, other than a desire to piss codrivers off

Theo, SCNAX cup has traditionally opened up limited regular practice entries to fill the event. Otherwise 44 workers may end up working 2 hour groups (it's more like 38 workers if you don't count the chiefs). This decision was only made to help the current SCNAX cup participants and ensure they all get their 12 runs. I can't enforce teams to stay together after opening up the practice but why would they forfeit their chance to have a fun-filled day with the support of teammates and not race instead?

I was just trying to fill these open spots as quickly as possible. I figured that two spots could be filled instead of just one by not allowing shared entries.
However, you do make good points as I wasn't thinking about the codriver issues, so I will allow shared entries for $10 extra as usual.
I'd like to clarify rule # 1 to get into practice. We will not allow teams to be disbanded for the sole purpose of members wanting to do a practice instead of the SCNAX Cup.
However, if one of the teammates had an unforeseen circumstance and needs to withdraw (such as someone getting sick), I will certainly allow the remaining team members to enter the practice at the $70 fee ($80 if codriving). There is no reason for our club to penalize the whole team due to circumstances out of their control. ;) My apologies for not being clear enough in my original post.
