Home Roof inspector

I am likely to require the services of a home inspector, and a roofer in the near future. Can anyone please offer a recommendation for someone they know that is good? This is my first time going through this process and since I'm not from the area I'm kinda in the dark about the home buying and construction business here in SoCal.

Adrian, make sure the company /individual has a contractors license. You can enter their number here for verification.
They must have the number on the side of the Work truck and on the business card.

We used Tom Byer Roofing in Huntington Beach a few weeks ago. They did a small repair job on our roof but I was very happy. Our neighbor recommended them. They are in Huntington Beach so I am not sure if they will go to Downey. The number is 714-847-9332.
