Walt Disney Family Museum

Post by George Schilling »

A few weeks ago I was in San Francisco to see my brother as one of the leads in "Sullivan and Gilbert". Since we have pretty much been to all the usual tourist places through the years, at his suggestion, we visited the new Disney Family Museum at the Presidio. This is one of those places that is a must see if your a fan of Disney, especially if you grew up watching Disneyland, or later, the Wonderful World of Color, on Sunday nights. It chronicles his family history and Walt's life starting from day one.

When visiting SF, this may not be on your list of things to do, but it should be. This is a fascinating place, one that has so many things to experience that it was tough to get it all in the five hours we allotted for the visit. Done in typical Disney fashion, everything is first class. Although there are some things children would enjoy, it would be better to leave then home for this as you'll want to take you time in the exhibit halls. This is a must see.

Thanks for the tip, George! I'm definitely planning on that next time we're in the Bay Area.

This sounds great. I was just in San Fran last month. Too bad I didn't know about it then. I will go next time I am in the Bay area.
