Thanks For Today!!
Lisa and Team,
What a great day!
It was the most valuable day of autocross for me since I started a year and a half ago. I got more seat time today than in any other entire weekend. The three workstations provided specific things for each of us to work on, and then the course being put together at the end of the day was a great way to end.
The instructors.....the best our club has to offer.....were generous with their time. There was a "whole lot of learning" going on today. What a superb way to ensure the future health of our sport.
Tom Berry made a comment to me regarding the social aspect of being out there. It is not only about the racing, but about the friendships that are made. I couldn't agree more.
Lisa, I'm sure you are exhausted this evening, but please, as you lean back in your chair with your feet propped up, know that your efforts were greatly appreciated by all of us.
Thanks to all who gave generously of their time. There will be some Advil moments tonight as i saw a lot of instructors running more than they have in years!

Re: Thanks For Today!!
Definitely! Huge thanks to everyone who offered their time and expertise. Instructors did double, sometimes triple duty helping us learn, working radios, and some even helping with setup. And I know Lisa's been working very hard on this months in advance. We are in debt to you all. Thanks a million. I learned a bunch and hope to be back out with some of the new skills soon!

Fantastic Day. Thank you to everyone that helped put this on. It was a great experience. I can't believe how hard all of the instructors were working....they were constantly running from car to car all day long. Thank you to all for sharing your extensive knowledge.

Yes, thanks LIsa and everyone! Also a special thanks to Bill Chin for the awesome instruction.
My car had major trouble just before arriving at the event, leaking all of my power steering fluid somewhere on the 15, 10, and/or Cherry Ave. Luckily, Art Rinner was kind enough to let me borrow his beautiful blue 280z so that I could participate that day. I know, I owe you big time!
Today's course was also super duper fantastic, especially after that last optional slalom cone was removed
.
Thanks again!

Re: Thanks For Today!!
Welcome to the club, Kyle. I must say, if this weekend taught me anything (It taught me a whole lot, actually), it was how selfless everybody is in this group! My car broke down yesterday and I had more offers of help than I could possibly use! Someone I never met took me home last night, and then when I went to pick up the car today, Marcus tosses me the keys to Sourpuss and lets me run a full set!
Lisa went out of her way to allow me to run even though I got there late, hadn't worked, and didn't sign in in the morning (Wasn't planning to run). Awesome group of people. And I'll be lookin' for opportunities to pay it forward.
So thanks again to EVERYONE who put this event on and who participated, because I know you all worked hard. I've been stressin' work lately, and I REALLY needed a weekend like this! See y'all soon!

Re: Thanks For Today!!
Wow, what a great event. Performing the exercises with the instructor, reviewing them, and finally applying them, was impressive. Combining the chalk talk, and the instruction from the instructor opened a whole new view of a course for me.
Seb,
Thank you for instructing me on Saturday. I can honestly say I learned a lot, and will be building on the points you taught me. You did an excellent job. Thank you.
Tom,
Thanks for your help on Saturday (and for showing me the seatbelt trick }:) ). I'm glad I could help your friend today, I hope he enjoyed himself.
Lisa,
Thank you for putting on a great event. I'm glad the price did not deter me from attending. It was worth it. I had a great time. Thank you.
Thank you to all the instructors and staff for volunteering your time to help us.

Re: Thanks For Today!!
Thank you very much Lisa for taking the time to put on such a fantastic learning event!
I really learned a lot. Also thank you to all the people who participated in running the event! It couldn't have gone off without you. The Instructors need to get MAJOR PROPS. They were working their butts off going from car to car! The people that were there know what I'm talking about. A special Thanks goes to my Instructor Art Rinner, who showed me how to be a better Auto X'r and also showed me what my car is capable of doing! WOW Art!
Those of you who couldn't make the event really missed out on a chance to learn some great driving skills from our regions "Top Dogs". That's OK, sign up when they have another school. It'll be worth its weight in gold!

Re: Thanks For Today!!
Thank you to everyone who participated, whether student, instructor or general administrator. I'll throw out special thanks to Lisa Severy for sacrificing soooo much personal time and effort to pull it all together, Bob, Gayle and Maggie Jardine for all your help keeping everything flowing, Tom Phillips for going out of your way to show up and help in any way needed, and Renee for showing up and heckling Bill (you *did* heckle Bill, didn't you? ;) )
It has been a few years since we last hosted a school. Our next one will be much sooner and, I hope, even greater value for our participants.
