John, this is an awesome video! I used to own an MB 190E.

This is very good fapping material for any German fanboy.
I especially liked the slow motion video of the 190s catching air over curbs and running into cones.

The best had to be the 190 with the cone stuck in the grill!

There's an equally crazy one showing the "Golden Years" of British Touring Car racing ...

Very cool.

I got to drive a M3 Sport Evolution at the Ring a few years ago.
It was misting a bit, and I'd only had 12 laps or so under my belt at the time, so I wasn't really pushing hard, but you could just feel some magical connection with that car and that track. It was probably the single coolest motorsport experience of my life.

There are few cars that are as cool as those first M3s. The DTM Merc 190s are cool too, but you couldn't really buy one like that, right? Whereas the M3s that you could buy (well, maybe not that screaming DTM motor...) was pretty close, no?

I wish you still had your M30 M3 too, Robert

Actually, the Merc counterpart and main competitior to the E30 M3 was the 190E 2.3-16, which also had a hopped up motor and was available to the public. Both cool cars, but I absolutely love the M3.
