i enjoyed the bump,
I can just about guarantee you would not have enjoyed it in my car. Pretty nasty sideways hop - in a turn.

I thought I was the only one that caught air there lol. There was a point on saturday where I probably went out a few feet because of that.

I was working that section for a while and it seemed like if you stuck close to the inside you didn't bottom out. May have dipped a bit but it wasn't so nasty. People who went wide hit the bump the worst.

I liked both courses and after 0 deg weather in STL the prior week...I REALLY liked the weather!

Saturday I was reminded how giving up time to set up properly was a good investment...that came from my wife -- kind of.. the non-autocrosser..who told me my slaloms were sloppy. Sunday, I thought there was a trick to a few tight sweepers that I never really cracked the code on....

And the video super slo mo is always fun and edcational to watch.

Thanks Mako for the great weather and fun courses!

The rest of the stills are up: http://public.fotki.com/makofoto/2010-a ... -910-2010/

Ignore the weird color casts. Any photos ordered will be enlarged, cropped, color and density corrected.

Still lots of videos to upload. The Vimeo uploader isn't cooperating. Blip.TV limit is 50 files a day, Fotki and youTube only allow one upload at a time ... not very much fun when there are 100's of files.

Samsung is trying to tell me that that their camcorder DOES DO 300 frames per second, when it's clearly faster then the Casio EX-F1 that we were using before! I shot a clock with the Casio today. 10 seconds becomes 100 seconds of "screen time," when shot at 300 fps. The same 10 seconds with the Samsung = 50 seconds, which means it's only shooting at 150 fps ... as Pete immediately pointed out. :x

I liked the course both ways, but I think I liked Sun. better, as it seemed like all the decreasing radius turns (which I sometimes overcook) from Sat. magically became increasing radius turns.

Those decreasing-radius turns are your friend in FWD. Use the (trail-braking) force!

You missed last weekend. I'm co-driving Tom B's new second car, a 93 BMW 325i. One event and back to RWD.

So my new used Samsung HD mini camcorder is definitely NOT producting 300 frame per second video ... "only" 150 fps. I'm going to sell that camcorder and eventually get the more useful Casio model.
