Online registration can SK class Novice?
I'm trying to online register for the Feb event. My question is can SK classes be Novice? The online registration won't allow me too, as there is no SK2 listed in the box once I switch it to Novice. I want to run SK2L Novice for my daughter and SK2 Novice for my son......Just want to get them the best index times possible!.....don't worry no little league dad here
if anyone knows how to do this or whoever sets up the online registration to modify it I would appreciate it. If I can't run Novice in SK2 let me know also and I will throw them in C Stock, but it screws up our run times as I will be running SK2.

Re: Online registration can SK class Novice?
This was brought up multiple times last year, and despite the fact that the supplemental rules state that local classes can run in Novice, it was never fixed. As a result, the ST* class cars which already have the fact that they are running on street tires "built into" their index values were at a significant advantage throughout the year.
Talk to your club rep and have them bring it up at the CSCC meetings is all I can say....
I believe Rick Brown said that it was fixable by creating another set of classes in the software, similar to how Historic is selected.

Re: Online registration can SK class Novice?
SK is an indexed class. You cannot apply a 2nd index to it (Novice)
Either run Sk2, or CS NOV.
BTW, congrats on the 2-2 draw on Saturday in the FA Cup.

There's no 'except SK1/SK2' in there...C) Novice class competitor’s cars must be classed in classes that are outlined in the SCCA
Solo National rules or in the CSCC Solo supplementary regulations. The competitor will
compete at the same time as the competitors in those classes but will be scored with the
other Novice class competitors throughout the day.

I believe the computer system cannot handle it, but best to check with Rick.Andrew Bingham wrote:But the Supplemental Regulations state:Max Hayter wrote:SK is an indexed class. You cannot apply a 2nd index to it (Novice)

Thanks all!
I will enter them in something other than SK2 Novice. Didn't mean to get a hornets nest going.

Re: Online registration can SK class Novice?
The software does not allow double indexing. So if you select an indexed class you must pick a regular class to go with it. For Historic class there is an additional set of stock classes with a street tire index built in, but it is different than the SK classes (.98 for SK, .975 for HIST). If there is enough demand, it could be done. Contact your club rep to have it brought up at a meeting (it has been done in the past and was not approved, but things can change).Andrew Bingham wrote:But the Supplemental Regulations state:Max Hayter wrote:SK is an indexed class.
