Since I don't have any racing tires for wet, I'm thinking of using my street tires on this Saturday's event since according to the weather channel it will be raining in Fontana.
I guess it's a practice so it doesn't really matter but I curious if anyone has similar experience on what might be faster in wet conditions on a turbocharged miata.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem

Lily has raced on the T1R's in the rain and said she liked it a lot. Dunno about a higher horsepower car like yours, but might be worth a shot.

I'm not familiar with either tire, but I'd go with whichever one pumps the most water. Funtucky has some really bad standing water in places, and aquaplaning is to be avoided if at all possible.

i actually took top ST time in Lily's Prelude last rain practice
The T1Rs are great for deep water evac. The R1R didn't do too well with that much water (Max's MX5)

I think the T1R should do that better - comparison pics here.Kurt Rahn wrote:I'm not familiar with either tire, but I'd go with whichever one pumps the most water. Funtucky has some really bad standing water in places, and aquaplaning is to be avoided if at all possible.
