Nice ... I shot the first three groups, then lent my long lens to Katianne's friend Mike to shoot groups 4 and 5 ... I then shot the last Fun Run group. I hope to get my shots posted in the next couple of days. And hopefully Kati's friend will get his shots up.

Mako, I didn't notice you taking pictures or I wouldn't have bothered with my crappy camera. Hope you got a shot or two of me :)

Loved it BTW. Great exercise in constraint (cones). I never felt pinched - thought it flowed very well.

My fiancé experimented with the HD video option on our Canon t1i. It's a little shakey but pretty good!

The run was my 2nd, spun out at the end.

I think the rental form stipulates that you have to be cute and female. Sorry Jason.

lol...just a skosh too quick to get back on the gas. I always forget there's a dip right around where that apex point is when they do a turn there. Didn't even hear the cone against the side of the car!

Dude, don't give us an assignment  It's hard to tell in your vid because your left foot is permanently floating over the brake. It's a lot easier in the second vid though. Kick ass driving to both drivers, fast and smooth. You make it look too easy

Hard brake ...

Hehe, Nicole, Shauna and I are the only Spec Civic drivers that don't left foot brake (I THINK).

We had a breakthrough day with Dane. He's run fast before at El Toro after his 50th run for the day on the kid's course but this is the first time he really went full-tilt from the first run and with perfect course navigation. His 77.654 put him only about 4 seconds off the slowest car...

...in a week-whacker-powered kart

Thanks again for everyone's patience with the little ones!

I asked because I can't watch Jeff and Nicole's video. Weird, when I try to play them Firefox goes crazy!? When I quit Firefox and try to play them with Safari, Firefox starts up by itself ... and goes crazy ... as in everything that one can enter txt into starts flashing?!

And, watching Nicole and Jeff live yesterday afternoon during Fun Runs, East side of the course, and looking at their stills ... makes me think that they were "steering braking" as Jon says.
