March 6/7 Practice/Championship
The fliers for the practice and championship are posted.
I've got a few chief positions to fill. As I did last month, I'm reaching out to the general membership to staff some key positions. Here's what I have left. Those that were chiefs for the last event will be given first preference as you all performed magnificently and I'd be honored to have you on my team again. I'll understand if two in a row is too much. A 50% discount and guaranteed practice entry will be extended to all chief positions for both the practice and championship.
Gate Chief - Saturday only

OK, looks like we've found our sucker.....err.....I mean, volunteer for chief of course.
Rick, Lily, Jonathan, Mike, Eric and Kurt, I'm very happy to have you on the team for this event.
I still need a gate keeper. If you've been waiting for a way to contribute and haven't found the right time to volunteer, this is a good place to start. Of course, veterans are also welcome to step up.
I still need a youth steward for the championship. If there are any juniors planning on running at lunch at the practice, I'm going to let your parents make arrangements for the youth steward. Please keep me posted on this.

Re: March 6/7 Practice/Championship
Course designer is different than chief of course.
Chief of course is used at tours and was used at nationals until they pawned the job off to the op stewards.
At the tour they oversee worker check in and placement on course, set up and stock work stations, and are responsible for any car breakdowns or fluid spilled on course. They also have to make sure the course is lined and the cones are marked. And do anything else that the op stewards desire. And bring cold beer to the event chair.
This is a tough job to fill.
Sounds like a good job for Marshall

BTW Mark, if I we were to come down for one of the upcoming event prior to the tour, which of the event would provide the best course IYO. I'll never forget a course where there seemed to be cones every ten feet but I don't know what club likes 'em that way.

I'm sure a fine course it will be.
No pressure either.......although the entire region is counting on you for a grrrreat, non-ST course.

Well here are your choices:
1. This weekend TART SE lot
2. 3/13 DCCSD West lot
3. 4/3 TART West lot
I vote for March

Agreed since BMWCCA-SD is in West lot this Sat so it makes sense why TART is in SE lot. Though you can bring the Mini down GeorgeMark Duerst wrote:

Thanks Gio, but I need to spend a weekend or two relaxing with family. Perhaps one of the clubs not yet represented could step up and provide a gate chief.
