Le Mans question
Has anyone traveled to Le Mans from Paris ?
I`m planning on renting a car
Suggest a hotel ? Good source of a map and the track layout. I understand the the course is aways from the village.
Any other info would be great.

Max has been, he recommends bringing a bucket for a toilet ;)
Re: Le Mans question
Hey John,
I'm going to LeMans too this year. I only booked my flight and we're camping out there. I don't know anymore details.
The train is pretty inexpensive from Paris to LeMans. I'm currently leaning towards that idea rather than renting a car. Don't know how I'm getting to the track from the main station yet. Might be a shuttle available.

Re: Le Mans question
I thought of the train as well. My wife and I wanted to tour the region, so I was thinking of the car. We`re going with another couple so we can split the cost.
Did you get a good airfair? The taxes and fees are a killer. (I like the bucket idea.....not)

I went in 1990.
Top tip : Don't share a bucket (toilet) with your two fat uncles :unimpressed:
I remember nothing else.

I couldn't find any deals, my airfair with taxes and fees was about $1350.John Ward wrote:I thought of the train as well. My wife and I wanted to tour the region, so I was thinking of the car. We`re going with another couple so we can split the cost.

I'll be camping at LeMans from 6/10~6/13. There is a great website for camping and other LeMans items at: http://www.beermountain.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. He has several maps: http://www.beermountain.com/maproom.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
After LeMans, I'll spend a day and a half in Paris, getting around there should be easy because of public transport.

Re: Le Mans question
If you have an iTouch/iPhone there is a terrific 1:38:38 free movie download on iTunes called, "Truth in 24" ... sponsored by Audi. Terrific photography ... lots of historic footage and modern behind the scenes footage.

I watched and enjoyed it. Do you really need the device? I thought anybody who downloaded iTunes could watch.Mako Koiwai wrote:If you have an iTouch/iPhone there is a terrific 1:38:38 free movie download on iTunes called, "Truth in 24" ... sponsored by Audi. Loved it too. Yes, you don't need iPhone to watch it, just iTunes.KJ Christopher wrote:I watched and enjoyed it. Do you really need the device?
