Course Setup March 5th?

Post by Jonathan Lugod »

Hey guys, are we going to Cal Speedway to do course setup? If so, what time should we meet up at? I get out of class at 11:45 on fridays so i will be making the trip straight up from Oceanside (apx. 1hr 15min hour away)

I think that's all the course designer's job to round up folks and coordinate. At least I'm gunna make Tom do it for the El Toro event

You can offer course setup as a work assignment to get people to help. Limited number though can count it as their work assignment for the event, but I don't recall the number. Think it's only 3 or so.

If that means you think the course should have been longer time wise, I'm not sure I agree. I think lot 12 @ AAA Speedway is just about the right size for a 45-50 second course.

I wonder what the average speed was? I suspect it to be around 42ish
Back 2-3 years ago I was clocking it to be around 38 MPH in the Grocery Getter.
Don't have data to compare this time though.

Nice guess, Pete - 44mph average for me in Steve's ST Civic. 63.9mph peak at the finish, next peak down was just entering the showcase @ 56.5mph
