Bye Bye Honda

Post by Earl Merz »

Rumors that were floating around work on Monday night were confirmed on Wednesday( Thursday am for us graveyard shift). Honda is closing up shop at the CA test track. The company I work for contracts with both Honda and Hyundai. They are making room for some of the Honda employees at our facility. GREAT! More drivers + same # cars = less work. *BOO, HISS* Anyway, shop closes on July 1st. No word yet on if the place sold or if it's going to be left empty.

Man their ride and handling course looks alot better than my company's.

I wouldn't doubt them closing up that track, CA is expensive and I've heard they like to consolidate to one US location.

Turns out Honda sold the land to a company that's going to install a solar power generating station. I will have to assume that the facility will be leveled. Could you imagine a 7 mile long autocross course...
