LA ProSolo Welcome Party!
The Welcome Party will be Friday, 4/16/10 from 5-7ish!
There will be plenty of food so bring your own chair and maybe an extra to share with someone else!
This is a great time to gather around and meet people from across the country.
We'll be showing off the "personality" of our region so please help us make everyone feel WELCOME! :gpower:

I am in need of one more BBQ for the Welcome Party... I already have some great volunteers to do the cooking, but I'm hoping that someone might be able to bring an extra BBQ. This would really help us get the food out fast on Friday night!

Re: LA ProSolo Welcome Party!
Theresa, thank you VERY much for putting together a great welcome party.
Seriously, that was some of the best food I've had at an SCCA event...John's chili was outstanding. For an out of towner, eating in restaurants and room service for the last week, it was a very welcome change and I appreciate your region's hospitality.

Thanks Theresa, that was delicious! I especially liked the kielbasa, the grapes, and the lemon cake.

Thanks Theresa, nice spread.
George, nicely cooked Kielbasa, (edit - For those not in attendance, I originally described it, but could only imagine the indecent comments where that might go... so I deleted it)

Re: LA ProSolo Welcome Party!
Thank you so much for the compliments. This was a team effort.
George Schilling and John Edwards did an amazing job on the grills! (This included bringing the grills - thank you both so very much!) John also made guacamole and chili which were very popular!!!! Lisa Berry added her own very special happy, bubbly, welcomey attitude and helped restock the tables. Nick Bjoin kept hauling off the trash which was a huge help!!!! Other people helped when I was unloading the truck during set up. Still others helped clean up afterward. A great big thank you to everyone!
Having everyone gather around and socialize really got the weekend off to a great start. It seemed to be a big hit as I received many positive comments and thank you's.
Terrific food, terrific weather, terrific people!

Thanks for such a great party. The food was awesome. Cold drinks, George grilling nicely, so good that this region should host the National Championship.
I missed the Guacamole everybody was raving about.
