I don't know all the specifics but if the DSP e46 is an example, adding more power to it is going to be a steep hill to climb for those little roadsters.

I assume you're responding to my question about e46 M3 SP HP?

A quick check of the TMS website makes it look like 300hp at the wheels is pretty doable.
Not sure how much heavier an M3 is than Doug Rowse's car, but it can't be that bad in SP trim...

That would be a fun machine if the motor wasn't a hand grenade.

Not what I had expected, but I kinda got an idea that B-Stock is where SCCA will put it in after the response from Doug Gill last year. I was hoping it will be in F-Stock (like BMW 335i since every Audi advertisement for the S4 is directly targeting it). Oh well, maybe I'll try it on the autox later in the year. I've already compared the 335i and the S4 on the track, now it's time to compare them on the autox.

My only thought is that these folks have slow ass CSP cars in their regions.

How fast would a DSP Audi TT be?

Lighter and smaller than the BMW's with awd and a turbo?

And the lower CG may help keep it on four wheels.

Ha!

A quick search turned up a ECU flash that gave 260 hp and 290 torque on 91 octane.

Seems like a full SP build could get some crazy numbers...

300 at the wheels in a 2700 lbs. awd car that's the size of a MX5?

Yeah...
Not sure that a SP-prepped anything could be considered family friendly.

Plus I'm sure it has about as much rear seat room as a 911 or Evora...
OTOH, they are pretty cheap. There's an ALMS edition in Irvine for $9k.

Robert, which tune is that? Are you talking about the 2.0T motor?

Revo tune for the 1.8 = 260/290 according to the intrawebs.

It's the opposite of FS. Not a single pony car driver of consequence on the west coast. }:)
