Would you like to instruct as your work assignment? - 5/2

Post by Leonard Cachola »

Meet new People
Drive New Cars
Introduce our Sport...

That's right folks, your dream autocross job is available, you could be an instructor as your work assignment!
I am looking for TWO instructors for the first group. Our problem with that is pre-running the course disqualifies a driver for championship points... which means you will have to run as TIME ONLY, though you can still run with your class if you like.

However, I'm willing to bet there are a couple of seasoned drivers (must have competed in at least half the events of the last two seasons or have instructed at a championship or one of our schools before to participate) out there who wouldn't mind giving up champ points for a chance to instruct, and if instructing knocks out a work assignment that just sweetens the deal. Please send me (Leonard) a PM (private message) through this message board. I would like to know by Thursday evening (April 29th).

I can cover after our group, it's the first group that's priority. Second group can be a problem as well.

Mako, I don't think the problem is finding people that are willing to instruct as their work assignment.

The problem is that if they do so during first group, then they can't compete for points at that event. And most people who are qualified to instruct are running for points.

That said, I can probably do it this weekend. I don't have anything else to drive right now anyway...

I meant as The Novice Coordinator ... since you've been doing it for so long. Someone else should know about everything you do ... so well.

I am the other Novice Coordinator Mako, and we've been splitting novice course walks and I instruct whenever I can :)

You worry too much. 8-) Not that anyone would ever read or use it, but I *have* been working on a Novice Coordinator/Instructor guidebook.

I plan on running 1st group so I could be a substitute instructor if you need additional help. I don't care either way. I'm a terrible instructor so I may not be qualified.
Dood, are you gonna eat that?
