Christine Berry wrote: Volunteers should plan to arrive at the Auto Club Speedway of Southern California, 9300 Cherry Avenue, Fontana CA 92335 approximately 45-60 minutes ahead of the scheduled start of their event to allow time for parking, registration, and shuttle to the infield. Plan to wear safe shoes (closed toe and heel) and long pants for dynamic areas. Hats and sunscreen are highly recommended for everyone. Water, morning coffee, and lunch will be provided to volunteers beginning Thursday.

I'm having child care issues early morning Friday. Stacey is locked up in trial in Lancaster. Worst case I can't leave Pasadena til 8:30. Best case they will take him for one day only in the monthly morning care program and I can leave at 7:30. So, I can't be there til best case 8:15am and worst case 9:30ish. So, when the skidpad opens at 8am and I'm not there, don't panic, somebody tell somebody I'm on the way.

Sorry, I didn't see this one coming til today.

I had lots of fun today! Thanks Christine, Gayle, Maggie, Bob, George and everyone I forgot for working their butts off all week. I didn't know what to expect, but I'm pretty sure I'll be back next year.
Side point: I REALLY liked how we did the auditing at this event. I'm wondering if we should integrate that into our regular schedule. Just bring the radio workers in the STV after the run group and have them run through it really quick with the auditor. It'd save the auditors lots of time and get the results posted a lot sooner. Just my $.02
Thanks again for the fun times, good conversation, and the K1 tickets. :D

Actually would not really save time. I and several others can audit quite quickly by ourselves. There is an auditor position on the worker sheet (please don't sign up for 1st group, nothing to audit yet), just not considered a critical position if we are short handed. Plus you are comparing the endurance which has much higher coneage and twice as many stations. How much faster do you need the results posted? Most of the time we post preliminary at the end of the group and final by the next group. But sometimes there isn't anyone to do it and often the group just finished is going out to work so we feel no rush. Most of the time I post the final results when I get home Sunday night. There is a good bit of cleanup to do to it sometimes, though, before posting.
